from Tantur you can clearly see the wall that turns Bethlehem into a prison. Palestinians who in other such concerts came by the thousands to make a statement for peace were not given permits by the army. A huge sound system and production with screens will make this initiative look good in international reports but the reality in Israel/Palestine is sad. The peace circus is not as lucrative as the war machine but it gives income and still “Peace Peace and there is no Peace”. The inner peace of the Newlife Community or Ofer’s family were seen around the tables in Nazereth and Jerusalem.Musicians4Peace have been on this path of Arab-Jewish dialogue through music and writing multi-lingual texts for 5 years already without the massive PR of the other performers. Theor second concert in 2002 was here in Tantur. Aliza Chava did 3 songs - beautifully and than everything moved inside where it was warmer.

Great stage and sound system - a listening audience who already have previous productions and comment on my development and the change from the last performance in April when I played the clown with a bass drum. This time I was accompanied by Ada from Clil who sang harmony and played flute and Kath Buckell who took up the Djembe. We opened with Traveler’s Prayer and played most of DREAM8,closing with a very moving version of Be my Friend which led to Eewigheid and as the audience still wanted more - closed with Reb Zappa Sez.
